In the spring of 2020, as the pandemic reshaped daily life, Designs By Sundown was designated an essential business. With so many clients spending time at home, the demand for vibrant seasonal color surged. Everyone wanted their outdoor spaces to feel alive and comforting.
Typically, our spring flower installs take four to six weeks to complete. That year, we did it all in just two. Over the course of twelve days, our team completed 100 separate installs — a feat that required extraordinary coordination, dedication, and teamwork.
The entire maintenance department worked tirelessly to ensure every property received fresh seasonal color, proper irrigation, and healthy plant material. Office staff even joined the effort, learning from experienced horticulturists how to plant flowers at the correct depth and spacing. It was a remarkable moment in our company’s history, and 2020 ultimately became our biggest year to-date.
